The Punjab Health Minister on October 25 mentioned that the state government has finished the hiring process for 558 doctors and the new recruits will be posted at various CHCs, PHCs, and district hospitals across the state. 

The minister mentioned that such a mass recruitment has been carried out after almost 10 years and is a major milestone. He has also requested all civil surgeons to put up requisitions for posting doctors at various levels in hospitals and centres of the state.
