Bhopal: In a glaring case of medical negligence, a nurse of Sultania Zanana Hospital here was suspended after it was found that a needle was left behind in the body of a woman during a Cesarean operation.
“A nurse who was found responsible for the negligence was suspended yesterday,” said Gandhi Medical College Superintendent MC Songra today. Rakhi Ganota underwent Cesarean operation at the Sultania Zanana Hospital a few days earlier. After delivery through Cesarean process, the woman complained of pain in her back. However, medical staff allegedly ignored her complaints.
Her husband Dharmendra Ganota said that the needle left behind in Rakhi's body was later removed after several complaints. He said that the condition of his wife was stable now. Dr Songra said the needle was left behind accidentally.
