Verwandeln Institute Kochi, in association with KIMS Cochin and other major hospitals across Kerala, is organising this programme for imparting the knowledge of various advanced Laparoscopic Surgeries from December 3 to 13.

Informing this at a news conference course Dr. R Padmakumar told reporters here on Wednesday that scores of surgeons from across the country and foreign countries, including Dubai, Muscat, would take part in the 11-day event. ‘’Training sessions will give ample opportunity for the participants to observe the procedures and learn intricate steps so that they can impart their new skills to the betterment of the patients in their States and Countries,’’ said Dr. Padmakumar.

Kerala has become a role model for developing and spreading most modern keyhole surgical techniques to the world. Laparoscopic hernia surgeries, various antiobesity – bariatric surgical techniques, and Endoscopic Thyroidectomy – the scarless surgery for thyroid removal are the favorites for Surgeons seeking training from different parts of India and abroad, he added.
