Dr. Hemant Deshmukh, an acclaimed radiologist, has been appointed as the new dean of KEM Hospital, Parel, Mumbai on October 31. 

He took over the post from Dr. Avinash Supe who has retired after serving for 3 years as dean of the hospital. Dr. Hemant Deshmukh will, however, be holding the position of dean at KEM alone. A decision regarding the appointment of a new director of major government hospitals, which Dr. Supe was also holding until now is yet to be made.
