Doctors in Ahmedabad were recently shocked to find metal objects such as pins, rings, hair pins, and even a mangalsutra lodged inside a woman's stomach during surgery.

Doctors decided to operate on the woman after she complained of stomach pain and the X-ray revealed a lump. But, what they discovered left them appalled. The woman apparently suffers from a condition called 'acuphagia'. The stomach of the woman had become rock hard from consuming these objects and few of the pins had perforated her lungs too. The woman is recovering and currently under observation for her condition.
