Yet another case of assault happened in the early hours of October 29, when a senior doctor was beaten by a patient's attendants at Sushrut Trauma Centre, a government hospital in Delhi.

Hospital staff also mentioned that the police office called to handle the situation also threatened and beat up the doctor. The incident took place after family members blamed the doctor for medical negligence. The first happened on October 27, when a senior surgeon was attacked by patient's kin. This is the second assault incident happening at the hospital, causing resident doctors to go on strike to highlight the lack of security for doctors at the hospital.
