Both COVID warriors were from the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Sector 32 and are in their twenties. Expressing gratitude, the doctor said, "Being from the medical background, I was aware about the recovery process." "I think it was more difficult to beat isolation than to fight the disease. But the PGIMER team, with their care and concern like their own family, made me come out of it."

The healthcare worker, agreeing with the doctor, urged people not to lose hope, keep the morale up and follow their doctors' advice completely. "You can beat it," he signed off. With their discharge, the count of those declared cured and discharged from PGIMER's COVID hospital rose to 26. As has become a norm, the PGIMER COVID-19 team was present in good strength to bid adieu to the discharged people amid claps. They were greeted warmly with flowers by the PGIMER Director accompanied by senior administrative officers and senior faculty. Even a team comprising senior members from the GMCH was present to receive them at the PGIMER. Both of them beaming and waving at those present boarded the ambulance parked there for their onward journey to their homes.
