Will a chlorhexidine-fluoride mouthwash reduce plaque and gingivitis?

Elkerbout TA, et al. - The researchers investigated the effect of a chlorhexidine (CHX) mouthwash (MW) containing sodium fluoride (NaF) compared to a CHX - MW alone on the plaque, gingivitis, and discoloration. They concluded that presence of NaF and CHX in the same MW did not reduce CHX effectiveness with respect to plaque and gingivitis scores. Furthermore, in the development of tooth discoloration, no difference was observed.
