Sanchez RF, et al. - The aim of this trial was to evaluate which antibiotic regimen prevents dental implant failures or postoperative infections after dental implant placement. For preventing implant failures, only single-dose oral amoxicillin preoperatively (SDOAP) was noted to be effective and efficacious. However, it was not seen to be significant for infections after dental implant surgeries.
