Yates M, MacGregor AJ, Ledingham J, et al. - A nationwide audit of RA obtained data on treatment choices, DAS and sociodemographic factors at baseline in order to distinguish baseline prescribing for people with RA across the National Health Service, distinguishing treatment decisions that correlate with patient outcomes. In total, 7,154 individuals with a diagnosis of RA were enrolled from 136 departments. Guideline adherence differed between departments and could be described by case-mix alone. Moreover, superior short-term outcomes were attained by departments that prescribe early adjunctive steroids.
