Peri-implant tissue dimensions can be accurately measured on ultrasound; as shown by the encouraging evidence. In order to evaluate long-term peri-implant tissue stability without concerns of ionizing radiation and image artefacts around implants after clinical trial validations, ultrasound offers potential as a valuable tool.
