Human Reproduction Aug 15, 2018
Mínguez-Alarcón L, et al. - At a fertility center, authors evaluated if the self-reported type of underwear worn is related to markers of testicular function among men. The median age of the men included in this trial was (interquartile range) 35.5 (32.0, 39.3) years and BMI of 26.3 (24.4, 29.9) kg/m2. Findings suggested that compared to the men who do not wear boxers, those who do have higher sperm concentration and total count. They noted an inverse relationship of the sperm concentration and total count with serum FSH. They did not observe any associations with other measured reproductive outcomes.
