Auffret V, et al. – The rate of respiratory complications associated with TAVI vs. SAVR was assessed in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients with severe aortic stenosis. Findings revealed that despite a higher baseline risk–profile, TAVI patients had a similar rate of 30–day major pulmonary complications compared with SAVR patients, among moderate or severe COPD patients at low–to–intermediate surgical risk.
