Three-year recurrence-free survival in patients with a very low risk of endometrial cancer who did not undergo lymph node dissection (Tree Retro): A Korean multicenter study
International Journal of Gynecological Cancer Jul 07, 2018
Kim M, et al. - Via analyzing medical records of 156 consecutive patients from 10 institutions who underwent surgical staging without lymph node dissection, the survival outcomes of very low-risk endometrial cancer patients (by the Korean Gynecologic Oncology Group [KGOG] criteria) who did not undergo lymph node dissection was ascertained. Observations revealed acceptable survival outcomes for these very low-risk patients, even without lymph node dissection, thereby suggesting that omitting lymph node dissection was reasonable in patients satisfying the KGOG criteria. The 3-year RFS was 98.6% and 5-year OS 98.6% in these patients.
