Sheng X, et al. - Authors assessed the risk factors of urethrocutaneous fistula after hypospadias surgery among the youth in China. Since findings suggested an association of the risk of developing urethrocutaneous fistula after hypospadias repair with urethral defect length and urethral operation history, therefore before undergoing hypospadias surgery, urethral defect length and urethral operation history should be taken into consideration. Experts did not note an obvious correlation of age, surgical procedure, type of surgical repair, chordee degree and other factors with the development of urethrocutaneous fistula.
