Spine Mar 09, 2019
Noormohammadpour P, et al. - In this prospective cross-sectional study, authors delineated the prevalence and correlated factors with low back pain (LBP) in female teenagers of high school with the mean age, 15.8 years. They calculated the joint hypermobility using the Beighton scale. They recorded the prevalence of history of LBP as lifetime, more than 3 months, and last month history of LBP, 46.2%, 11.6%, and 31.2%, respectively. A higher prevalence of passive smoking was observed in the candidates with last month history of LBP. They recorded the prevalence of joint hypermobility (15.9%) significantly higher in those with the lifetime and last month history of LBP.
