The relationship between global sleep score and inflammatory markers in obese adults from the United States

Nature and Science of Sleep Nov 13, 2019

Huang Y, et al. - In a cohort of obese adults, researchers explored the links between sleep quality and serum inflammatory markers. Findings suggested a positive association of poor sleep with serum inflammatory marker levels among obese adults. Pro-inflammatory cytokines can provide a correlation between poor sleep and an increased risk of inflammatory diseases.
