Van de Hoef S, et al. – This randomized controlled trial aimed to evaluate the preventive effect of the bounding exercise programme on hamstring injuries in amateur soccer players. The incidence of these injuries remained high in soccer despite effective hamstring injury prevention programmes. A new plyometric exercise programme could encourage long–term compliance and was expected to enhance sprinting and jumping performance besides preventing hamstring injuries as poor compliance with these programmes could be an issue.
