The lung microbiome in patients with pneumocystosis

Kehrmann J, et al. - This study entails analysis of the microbiome of the lower respiratory tract from critically ill intensive care unit patients with and without pneumocystosis. In patients with pneumocystosis, a specific microbial composition did not appear to determine the lower respiratory tract microbiome. Also, the lower respiratory tract microbiome in these subjects did not appear to be dominated by a single bacterial species.
