The influence of l-carnitine on the expression of miRNAs in asthenospermia spermatozoa and the network regulation of the associated molecules
Andrologia Nov 27, 2019
Liu L, Li T, Li F, et al. - In this present study, experts revealed that hsa-miR-27b-3p, hsa-miR-151a-5p, and hsa-miR-206 play a significant role in the influences of l-carnitine treatment of the spermatozoa in individuals with asthenospermia (a significant cause of male infertility). Moreover, the target mRNAs of hsa-miR-206 were examined by GO and KEGG. Nineteen males from the reproductive medicine special hospital of the 1st Hospital of Lanzhou University were diagnosed with asthenospermia. Results revealed that the activity of ATP synthase may be altered by target mRNAs of hsa-miR-206 and it may take part in the cAMP signalling pathway and the calcium signalling pathway, which may play a significant role in sperm motility.
