Liu P, et al. - A systematic review and meta-analysis exploring the efficacy of esmolol in patients with septic shock and sepsis was performed. Findings suggested that esmolol treatment might result in improved survival rate, and reduce heart rate and TnI. However, the treatment seemed not influencing mean arterial pressure, central venous pressure and central venous oxygen saturation in patients with septic shock and sepsis.
