The impact of a prospective 4-year longitudinal school intervention for improving oral health and oral health inequalities in primary schoolchildren in Flanders-Belgium
International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry Mar 15, 2019
Lambert MJ, et al. - Between 2010 and 2014, a random sample of Flemish primary schoolchildren (born in 2002) was examined to delineate the 4-year longitudinal result of an oral health promotion programme on oral health, knowledge, and socioeconomic disparities among primary schoolchildren. A fraction of 23.8% of total candidates attended all 4 sessions. They noted a stable consequence of intervention on the number of decayed teeth and enhanced knowledge scores. They could not reveal the influence on disparities. However, a higher failure rate in kids with a lower social status was observed.
