The functional loading of implants increases their stability: A retrospective clinical study
Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research Dec 19, 2018
Brizuela-Velasco A, et al. - Authors evaluated the difference in the evolution of implant stability values, determined by resonance frequency analysis (RFA), between two groups of implants subjected to two different loading protocols: immediate and delayed. They conducted a retrospective clinical study, including a total of 93 implants placed in 38 patients. The stability of implants increased by the functional loading, as measured in implant stability quotient (ISQ) values by RFA. During the months immediately following loading, they noted greater increases in ISQ values, which shows that immediate or early loading protocols are not only possible but can also be beneficial.
