The expression of Mirc1/Mir17–92 cluster in sputum samples correlates with pulmonary exacerbations in cystic fibrosis patients
Journal of Cystic Fibrosis Dec 17, 2017
Krause K, et al. - In this study, expression of individual microRNAs (Mirs) within the Mirc1/Mir17–92 cluster was measured in human cystic fibrosis (CF) and non-CF plasma, blood-derived neutrophils, and sputum samples and their role as biomarkers of pulmonary exacerbations and response to treatment was also determined. Researchers reported that as a biomarker of respiratory status in patients with CF including pulmonary exacerbation, Mirc1/Mir17–92 cluster expression holds promise.
