Lilleker JB, et al. – In this study, the authors explored available literature regarding the idiopathic inflammatory myopathy (IIM). They illustrated the importance of extramuscular involvement in patients with IIM, its association with smoking and its influence on disease severity. They highlighted that IIM was a multisystem inflammatory disease. Their findings would aid in the prognosis and clinical management of patients with IIM.
