Navarro RM, et al. - This trial incorporated a scrutiny of the safety and clinical efficacy of plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF) technology as an adjuvant therapy for follicular unit extraction (FUE) surgery in hair loss affected patients. PRGF displayed the potential to minimize the postsurgical follicle loss and potentiated the performance of grafted hairs. The fibrin clot served as a protective barrier against environmental factors and also yielded a biologically active scaffold which induced the resident cell proliferation, along with maintaining an optimal integrity of the grafted hair.
