Baicker K, et al. - This study tested the impact of Medicaid coverage on dental care outcomes, a major health concern for low-income populations. The authors discovered that expansion of Medicaid covering emergency dental care substantially decreased the unmet need for dental care, increasing emergency department (ED) dental visits and medication use, while not changing the patient use of uncovered dental services.
