The effect of ketorolac on thoracolumbar posterolateral fusion: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Li J, et al. - The impact of postoperative ketorolac administration (ie, dosage and duration of use) on pseudarthrosis after thoracolumbar posterolateral spinal fusions was assessed herein. Administration of ketorolac for >2 days and/or at a dose of ≥120?mg/d was noted to be related to pseudarthrosis in adults after posterolateral lumbar fusion. Findings suggested that use of ketorolac in smokers was also associated with pseudarthrosis.
