The effect of a multimodal comprehensive care methodology for family caregivers of people with dementia
BMC Geriatrics Jul 28, 2021
Kobayashi M, et al. - An intervention trial with a quasi-experimental design was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of a multimodal comprehensive care methodology training programme for the family caregivers of people with dementia. In total, 148 family caregivers of people with dementia partook in a multimodal comprehensive care methodology training programme for 6 hours (three times for 2 hours) in 3 months, which was followed by weekly delivery of information via postcard. In total, 117 family caregivers (79%) were evaluated 3 months after training. The multimodal comprehensive care methodology training was linked to a decline in the care burden of family caregivers.
