The bone core technique for the augmentation of limited bony defects: Five-year prospective study with a new minimally invasive technique

Khoury F, et al. - Herein, the researchers assessed a new minimally invasive surgical technique for the reconstruction of the critical-size bony defect with a local harvested bone core with simultaneous implant placement. During the control period, no implant failed. Researchers noted that for the reconstruction of small bone defects, the use of an autogenous bone core harvested during the implant bed preparation was a simple and safe method.
