Temporary ligation of the bilateral uterine arteries during laparoscopy combined with hysteroscopy in the treatment of caesarean scar pregnancy: Experience at a Chinese teaching hospital
International Journal of General Medicine May 28, 2021
Chen R, An J, Guo Q, et al. - In this study, the clinical effectiveness of temporary ligation of the bilateral uterine arteries during laparoscopy combined with hysteroscopy in the treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) was explored. Between 2012 and 2018, researchers conducted a retrospective analysis including a total of 83 patients who underwent laparoscopy combined with hysteroscopy for CSP at Xiamen Women and Children’s Hospital. Temporary ligation of the bilateral uterine arteries during laparoscopy combined with hysteroscopy achieved better clinical outcomes for CSP patients than laparoscopy combined with hysteroscopy without ligation with respect to intraoperative blood loss. This method provides effective and safe surgical management for CSP in clinical practice.
