Hofel L, et al. - Authors sought to evaluate the effectiveness of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of methotrexate (MTX) intolerance in juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) cases. The EMDR protocol efficaciously treated MTX intolerance in children with JIA, with lasting effect in 4 months. The quality of life of affected patients could be increased through the EMDR treatment and could assist in enabling continued MTX treatment.
