Zhang Y, et al. - The authors demonstrated the disease spectrum and frequency of noncerebrovascular rapidly progressive cognitive deterioration (RPCD) in patients from a medical college hospital in southeastern China. Secondary neurological diseases were the most common causes of RPCD and most of them were potentially reversible under appropriate treatment of the underlying disease. In this cohort, the spectrum and frequency of RPCD were comparable with a previous study performed in the European population.
