Sparing all salivary glands with IMRT for head and neck cancer: Longitudinal study of patient-reported xerostomia and head-and-neck quality of life

Hawkins PG, et al. – In this study, how sparing all salivary glands affected patient–reported outcome measures (PROMs), was explored. PROMs were maximized by reducing doses to all salivary glands. In addition, failure risk was not increased by a contralateral submandibular gland (cSMG) dose constraint of ≤39 G.
