Six-year follow-up of vitiligo patients successfully treated with autologous non-cultured melanocyte-keratinocyte transplantation
Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Mar 01, 2019
Altalhab S, et al. - In this single-center retrospective study, researchers examined the factors linked to long-term management of subjects with stable vitiligo treated successfully with melanocyte-keratinocyte transplantation in the National Center for Vitiligo, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, between 1 January 2004 and 30 June 2015. They noted an independent relationship between the affected body surface area of less than 1% and mechanical dermabrasion with lower rates of relapse. An independent association of non-segmental type of vitiligo and fingertip involvement with higher rates of relapse was also reported.
