Single-marker and multi-marker approaches to appraise the relationships between biomarkers and microalbuminuria in Chinese middle-aged and elderly from communities: A cross-sectional analysis
BMC Nephrology May 09, 2018
Fu S, et al. - During this cross-sectional analysis, researchers contemplated the associations between biomarkers, including N-terminal prohormone of brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP), homocysteine and uric acid (UA), and microalbuminuria (MA) in Chinese middle-aged and elderly from communities. After adjustment for multiple confounders, homocysteine and NT-proBNP were related to MA in Chinese middle-aged and elderly from communities, as confirmed in both single-marker and multi-marker analyses.
