Short-term effects and safety of an acute increase of intraocular pressure after intravitreal bevacizumab injection on corneal endothelial cells
BMC Ophthalmology Jan 31, 2018
Park J, et al. - Herein, experts aspired to estimate the short-term effects and safety of an acute increase of intraocular pressure (IOP) after single-dose intravitreal bevacizumab injection on corneal endothelial cells and central corneal thickness, in patients with central serous chorioretinopathy or diabetic macular edema. It was determined that IOP increased rapidly and then decreased to the normal range in a majority of the eyes, 30 min after intravitreal injection. It was found to be tolerable to the corneal endothelium.
