Song DH, et al. - This research examined the effect of Sesquiterpenes from fruits of Torilis japonica on the melanin synthesis in B16 cells. The findings disclosed that among the isolated compounds, compounds 4Â6 and 11Â13 inhibited the α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH)-activated melanin production in B16 melanoma cells, with IC50 values from 72.9 to 191.0 μM.
