Â An analysis was performed to evaluate the association between changes in serum calcium levels with the incidence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in apparently healthy South Korean subjects. Findings revealed that the elevation of albumin-adjusted serum calcium levels was associated with an increased risk of T2DM, independent of baseline glycemic status.
