Dobry AS, et al. - This study dealt with the calculation of serious infection rate among patients with psoriasis, who were treated with biologic as compared with nonbiologic systemic agents. An increased rate of skin and soft tissue infections was discovered among patients with psoriasis treated with biologic agents. A signal was indicative of increased risk for meningitis. Clinicians ought to be aware of these potential adverse events while prescribing biologic agents.
