Salidroside exerts protective effects in diabetes‐induced cardiac dysfunction
Diabetic Medicine Sep 07, 2021
Hao W, Li N, Mi C, et al. - This study’s findings demonstrate that salidroside exerts a protective effect against diabetes-induced cardiac dysfunction by modulating the mTOR and AMPK signaling pathways. T
The cardiac functions of diabetic rats were improved by salidroside treatment.
The results showed that salidroside therapy attenuated the cardiac oxidative stress induced by diabetes.
In diabetic rat hearts, salidroside inhibited diabetes-induced inflammation.
Salidroside also alleviated the apoptosis of cardiomyocytes.
The phosphorylation levels of AMPK, ACC, TSC2, and RAPTOR were also upregulated by the treatment of salidroside.
