Salidroside exerts protective effects in diabetes‐induced cardiac dysfunction

  • The cardiac functions of diabetic rats were improved by salidroside treatment.

  • The results showed that salidroside therapy attenuated the cardiac oxidative stress induced by diabetes.

  • In diabetic rat hearts, salidroside inhibited diabetes-induced inflammation.

  • Salidroside also alleviated the apoptosis of cardiomyocytes.

  • The phosphorylation levels of AMPK, ACC, TSC2, and RAPTOR were also upregulated by the treatment of salidroside.
