Swanljung O, et al. - Herein, experts evaluated the role of root canal irrigants and medicaments in endodontic injuries verified in Finland. They also assessed the rate of such events over time. In order to avoid increasing harmful consequences, extreme care was needed while applying sodium hypochlorite and calcium hydroxide into root canals. Per year, 4.3 cases per 100,000 endodontic patients were noted to experience sodium hypochlorite/calcium hydroxide injuries.
