Sesé L, et al. – The focus of the presented study was to investigate the role of atmospheric pollution on the natural history of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). The clinical data indicated that air pollution has a negative influence on IPF results, corroborating the role of ozone on acute exacerbations (AEs) and establishing, for the first time, the potential role of long–term exposure to PM10 and PM2.5 on overall mortality.
