Risk factors for abnormal anteroposterior knee laxity after primary anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction

Arthroscopy May 14, 2018

Cristiani R, et al. - Authors sought to investigate the preoperative and intraoperative factors linked with abnormal anterior knee laxity after primary anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Eligible candidates included patients who underwent primary ACL reconstruction at the institution from January 2000 to October 2015, with no associated ligament injuries. Yielded results depicted that age less than 30 years, preoperative side-to-side difference greater than 5 mm, hamstring tendon graft, and medial meniscus resection exhibited a connection with an increased risk of having abnormal anterior knee laxity 6 months after primary ACL reconstruction.
