Therapeutics and Clinical Risk Management Aug 26, 2017
Luo S, et al. – Researchers aimed at assessing risk factors and early outcomes of acute renal injury after thoracic aortic endograft repair for type B aortic dissection. They observed that thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) for type B aortic dissection (TBAD) had a high incidence of acute kidney injury (AKI). This incidence was associated with worse in–hospital outcomes. Most significant risk factors were systolic blood pressure (SBP) on admission and supra–aortic branches graft bypass hybrid surgery.
