Restoration of periodontally compromised dentitions using telescopic full-arch retrievable prosthesis supported by tooth-implant combination: A long-term retrospective study
The International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry Feb 22, 2018
Guarnieri R, et al. - The authors estimated the long-term outcomes of full-arch, retrievable, telescopic-retained prostheses (TRPs) on teeth and implants based on survival rate analyses and technical and biologic complications in full-mouth rehabilitation of dentitions that were periodontally compromised. Findings revealed that the rates of complication were low and maintenance services were limited to minor interventions. In patients with periodontally compromised dentition, combined tooth/implant TRPs were noted to improve prosthetic support and offered successful function in the long-term.
