Remission rate and predictors of remission in patients with rheumatoid arthritis under treat-to-target strategy in real-world studies: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Clinical Rheumatology Oct 25, 2018
Yu C, et al. - In patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), authors assessed the remission rate in real-world studies, and summarized potential predictors of remission. Studies reporting remission rate were searched from MEDLINE, EMBASE, and Scopus databases. Male, higher education level, and lower baseline disease activity were identified as the predictors of remission, while negative predictors included the initial use of corticosteroids. Regardless of the different criteria used, sustained remission was rare. In real-world studies, remission was a reachable target, while attainment of sustained remission also deserved attention.
