Relationship between reticular pseudodrusen and choroidal thickness in intermediate age-related macular degeneration
Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology Dec 21, 2017
Ho CYD, et al. - This research was designed in order to gauge the connection between the choroidal thickness (ChT) and reticular pseudodrusen (RPD) in eyes with intermediate age-related macular degeneration (iAMD), controlling for variables known to influence ChT. Instead of RPD, age and refractive error were prominently related to the reduced choroidal thickness in eyes with iAMD. It was noted that the choroidal insufficiency could serve as a less significant variable in RPD etiology than previously considered.
