Bruning AHL, et al. - Authors undertook this systematic review to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of rapid tests for the detection of respiratory viruses. They noticed that despite their intended use at the point of care, 26.3% of tests were evaluated in a laboratory setting. The newly developed tests seemed more sensitive, however, there was lack of high-quality evaluations of these tests.
