Levin A, et al. – Placebo, calcifediol, and calcitriol treatment were compared with changes in vascular stiffness, blood pressure (BP), proteinuria, mineral metabolism parameters, C–reactive protein, and fibroblast growth factor 23 in patients with stable chronic kidney disease (CKD). In these patients, six months of supplemental vitamin D analogs at fixed doses seemed to achieve a reduction of pulse wave velocity (PWV).
